This week has been super busy, the week before I was ill so I’ve not posted for an age. I have actually taken pictures some days, but not had the time/energy/spoons to edit and post them. Buuut I’ll post some of them today (all in the wrong order, probably)

FATSHION FEBRUARY: DAY 29 // Clashing prints
Skirt - F&F @ Tesco; vest top - Primark; cardigan - thrifted, headscarf - New Look; tights - Primark; boots - Red Herring @ Debenhams
Last FatFeb post! Today was a day for clothing with bright pink floral prints. The skirt and headscarf are gorgeous in their own right, but I really like them together. Clashing is cool.

FATSHION FEBRUARY: (RETROSPECTIVE) DAY 28 // Femme fatale
Skirt - eBay; body, shoes - New Look; tights - Primark; headscarf - thrifted; necklace - Minimum Mouse
Animal prints are always fabulous and this outfit made me feel super fance/fierce. Somebody on the bus referred to me as “the fat girl wearing the leopard print skirt” and I got mad at them because it is clearly cheetah print.

FATSHION FEBRUARY: (RETROSPECTIVE) DAY 27 // Chic and simple
Skirt - Peacocks; top - Dorothy Perkins; necklace - my momma’s from the 80s; cardigan, headscarf - thrifted; tights - Primark; shoes - New Look
My general, day-to-day style is actually pretty boring. Amazing necklaces help jazz it up a bit though. I really love this necklace, but I feel like it’s just too much a lot of the time. Also, I have to have the right kind of neckline so it stands out as much as possible.
PS. It had been raining, hence the wet shoes.

FATSHION FEBRUARY: (RETROSPECTIVE) DAY 24 // Springtime
Skirt - New Look; vest top, denim shirt - Primark; beret - gift, socks -eBay
Last Friday was uncharacteristically warm, hence the floaty skirt and denim skirt instead of jeans and a jumper. I forgot to put jewellery on and took no good photos, but please focus on the gorgeous colours of the skirt and beret.

FATSHION FEBRUARY, DAY 24!
Dress - Dorothy Perkins, L/s, Peacock brooch - Primark
Quick photos taken before i went out to dinner with my family! I’m home in the badlands of Surrey for the weekend for London Super Comic Convertion… yay!

FATSHION FEBRUARY: (RETROSPECTIVE) DAY 22 // Fight the power
Skirt - my momma’s from the 80s; jacket - my daddy’s from the 90s (vintage Levis); vest top, cardigan, tights, hat - Primark; scarf - Dorothy Perkins; shoes - New Look; earrings - Topshop
On Wednesday, I went to a workshop about being a badass young feminist student. I felt all fired up and fierce, and this skirt seemed appropriate. The amazing print on the skirt and oversized jacket made me feel like a student protester from the 80s.

FATSHION FEBRUARY: (RETROSPECTIVE) DAY 21 // Pink lady
Skirt, earrings - New Look; vest top, hat - Primark; cardigan - thrifted
Does anybody else have these urges to wear certain colours/textures? I woke up on Tuesday and knew I had to wear something pink and floaty. This skirt fit the bill, and made me feel super femme. That said, as soon as I got home, I wanted to be super comfortable and changed into a hoodie. I felt the need to document this because my quiff was amazing.

FATSHION FEBRUARY: (RETROSPECTIVE) DAY 20 // You look like a boy
Jacket - gift; shorts - Henry Holland; top - New Look, hat, tights - Primark; scarf - Dorothy Perkins; boots - Red Herring @ Debenhams
I wore this on Monday and a little girl told me I looked like a boy. I said thank you.

FATSHION FEBRUARY: DAY 26 // Hangover
Top and skirt - New Look; scarf - vintage sale
Last night involved jagerbombs and staying up til 8am, so, unsurprisingly, I’ve not been feeling too fresh today. This outfit required no effort, mainly because I drunkenly fell asleep wearing this top and headscarf (I’m so classyyyy).

FATSHION FEBRUARY: DAY 13 // 50s
Skirt, cardigan, headscarf - thrifted; vest top - Primark; shoes - New Look; tights - not sure; earrings - Wallis
Vivid blues help brighten up grey February days. This was the most typically femme outfit I’ve worn in a long time, and I felt absolutely lovely.
-
FATSHION FEBRUARY: DAY 12 // vbo and stretchmarks
Jumper, shoes, bag, earrings - New Look; skirt - H&M
Personal story time: 2 years ago, I’d have shied away from an outfit like this. The skirt clings to my stomach, highlighting each inch of fat. The jumper is so short that moving my arms reveals my stretch marks. I was determined to hide my fat, or to at least give myself an hourglass figure. But now, I honestly don’t care. Going out wearing a short skirt that shows the cellulite on my thighs and the bulge of my belly is empowering. Wearing a jumper which flashes my stretch marks and scars is empowering. Loving myself just as I am is empowering.

I’m going through all the photos I took of myself yesterday, deciding which ones to post for FatFeb. Hard choice because yesterday was a wonderfully vain day and I like every single picture. This is both rare and wonderful.

[Fatshion February is making me hyper aware of the fact that I wear the same accessories all the time/haven’t styled my hair for ages/only have one awkwardly taking photos of myself pose]

FATSHION FEBRUARY: DAY 11 // Inspiring vanity
Shirt, shorts - New Look; vest top, headband, socks - Primark; tights - George @ Asda; cardigan - F&F @ Tesco; boots - Red Herring @ Debenhams; earrings - bought at a music festival
There’s something awesome about this outfit and I can’t stop looking and the mirror and remarking on how damn good I look today.
